About Us

The initial concept for Let’s Talk Breasts was sparked when it became painfully apparent that there were no websites available that actively discussed breasts – in all their natural and unnatural glory – without resorting to pornography and titillation. Certainly there are many excellent sites out there providing help and advice on all aspects of breast cancer and breastfeeding; likewise there are plenty of sites devoted to beauty, plastic surgery and feminism. But until now, there has been no single place where all issues pertaining to our best assets have been readily available in one handy location.

Conceived entirely as a site built and written by women, for women, with Let’s Talk Breasts our aim is to be the perfect ‘one stop shop’ for everything bust-related, at every stage of our readers’ lives. Here pre-teens and teenagers can check if their bosoms are developing normally and learn how to choose their first bra, while fashion-conscious twenty-somethings and older women teetering on the verge of a boob job can research exactly what’s involved in breast enhancement surgery, as well as consider whether or not they’re doing it for the right reasons. Mothers can find out more about breastfeeding – the negative aspects as well as the positive, as we’re not bound by any medical or parenting body. Women who are concerned they know nothing about self-inspection for breast lumps will find the answers they’re seeking here, within a comprehensive section on breast cancer compiled by healthcare professionals.

Let’s Talk Breasts also provides a continually expanding database of product reviews (such as bust creams, and books and films concerning our favourite topic) and news-related items. We have an excellent Bra Centre covering everything from finding the right underwear to match your outfit to information on specific bras and advice on whether you should sleep in them or not! Also it’s an opportunity for those with opinions to stand on a soapbox and sound off about how breasts are perceived in this internet-driven age, and how that affects young girls growing up today. We also feature articles discussing culture, celebrity art, history, evolution, language, anatomy and sexuality – if it’s boob-related, we’re on it!

The team behind Let’s Talk Breasts is a group of like-minded women*, encompassing healthcare professionals, breast cancer specialists, psychologists, cosmetic surgeons, lawyers, beauty experts, feminists, fashionistas, mothers, daughters and lingerie addicts. We realise with such a fascinating subject our site is never going to be entirely exhaustive, so if you have any queries, comments or suggestions about subjects we should include, please do write to us via our contact form – we’d love to hear from you.

*N.B. Occasionally professional male consultants and surgeons are invited to guest on our site, but rest assured their content has been thoroughly vetted by female eyes!
