I have to say I’m a big fan of the This Works branding. Following their tagline “Modern Natural Beauty” to a T, the company certainly doesn’t beat about the bush promising all sorts of fanciful frills, instead getting straight to the point with product titles that presumably do what they say on the tin. For example, there’s no arguing about the purposes of marketing solutions including Skin Deep Dry Leg Oil, No Wrinkles Extreme Moisturiser and Deep Sleep Dream Cream!
So how does their bust product Perfect Cleavage Firming Lotion stack up against others reviewed for Let’s Talk Breasts? From the price and the look of the packaging, we’re off to a promising start. For the price, this product certainly looks the part, and scores extra points for a generous bottle containing 60ml – easily enough to see out two months of fairly heavy use, if not more.
The bottle itself is spot on when it comes to advertising the ‘modern’ and ‘natural’ element of the brand’s tagline. It’s undeniably classy in a minimalist style with a unique design that dispenses with the need for a lid or screw top. It looks great, but my main gripe with this product is the dispensing design – the nozzle simply isn’t long enough, so you end up smearing cream on the bottle as much as on your hands. Also, the nozzle is rather delicate in comparison to the chunky bottle, and I’d be concerned that it might break off too easily if mishandled or dropped.
Using Larch extract to tighten the bust area, Comfrey Root to soothe and moisturise, and Vitamin C to help combat sun damage, the lotion itself is absolutely lovely. It smells gorgeous and sinks in easily. In fact I found myself using it on my throat and upper arms as well as my décolletage, mainly because of the fragrance and the luxurious, satiny feel. Critically, Perfect Cleavage Firming Lotion doesn’t make any promises other than it will tighten and firm the bust area, and this is where it succeeds for me. In a market currently overstuffed with empty claims, put quite simply: This Works.
Verdict: This luxurious lotion would easily have earned a 5* review if only the nozzle was slightly longer and more robust. Otherwise, no complaints – this is a fabulous product and is highly recommended.
