Payot Paris Bust Performance Review

Payot Paris Bust Performance is a gel which boasts an “ultra-firming, tightening formula with a light and silky gel-cream texture that melts on the skin”. With ingredients including soya protein, to remodel and round out the breasts, fortifying calcium, to restructure the framework of the breasts, and smoothing horsetail extract, to strengthen breast support and help reduce stretch marks, it also has a special component of Phytolift-Calcium complex, which acts as a bust “lifter”.

When you dispense the gel, the blue colouring is a little disconcerting and the fragrance, while not altogether unpleasant, is a little clinical; the combination of both the look and smell of the gel is therefore not exactly appealing.

The “silky gel-cream” is indeed more lightweight than traditional creams and so is easily absorbed, which means that you are dry enough to dress soon after application. However, it almost penetrates the skin a little too quickly and you have to be careful to spread it thinly and swiftly in order to get even coverage, otherwise you end up reapplying as your hands are dry before you have finished.

Appearance and application issues aside, the gel is very moisturising and leaves the skin feeling nourished. The elasticity of the bust is markedly improved after one month, stretch marks are less noticeable, and the décolletage looks more youthful, as well as feeling firmer and tauter.

The smart tube is usually priced around £35 for 50ml, which is not cheap, and because it is so well absorbed, you end up using a lot on each application, so the tube barely lasted one month. It certainly does the job, but without the aesthetics of other lotions and with a hefty price tag.

Verdict: The bust looks firmer and tauter, while the skin feels moisturised with this light, easily-absorbed gel, but it is not the best value for money and could be more pleasing on the eye and nose.
