Clarins Bust Beauty Firming Lotion Review

Priced at £38 for 50ml, Clarins Bust Beauty Firming Lotion is one of the more expensive bust products available, but does it live up to the extra cost?

Formulated with Vu Sua and Bocoa extracts (the former comes from fruit harvested in South Vietnam, while the latter from an Amazonian tree known for its ‘exceptionally resistant’ wood), Clarins promises that the lotion will ‘restore tone and firmness’ to the décolletage with on-going nightly use.

Clarins has a well-established brand appearance, and this bottle certainly lives up to the usual standard. The frosted glass bottle is understated yet elegant, and would suit the cosmetics shelf of a lady of any age or taste.

The lotion itself (which should be applied each evening with ‘light circular motions from the base of the breasts up to the chin’) has a wonderful, expensive feel and absorbs into the skin quickly, leaving no greasy residue behind. Its fragrance is particularly lovely: slightly herbal, slightly nutty, but in an unobtrusive way.

Immediately after application, my breasts felt moisturised and smooth, a sensation that lasts right through to the next morning. This product was tested over the course of one month, which used up approximately two thirds of the bottle. At the end of the testing period, the skin from my throat down to the base of my bust is softer, thoroughly hydrated and probably looking the best it ever has. I have to say that my breasts do actually feel slightly fuller, although whether or not this is due to the lotion or to the amount of chocolate I’ve consumed lately is up for debate…

Browsing the range of Clarins products, I suspect that the Bust Beauty Firming Lotion, which is applied in the evening, should be used in conjunction with Clarins Bust Beauty Extra Lift Gel to form their lauded ‘invisible natural bra’. I would certainly recommend this product for those with a slightly higher beauty budget than the norm.

Verdict: Used in conjunction with Clarins Bust Beauty Extra Lift Gel, this product forms the brand’s lauded ‘invisible natural bra’. Recommended for those with a slightly higher beauty budget than the norm.
