Part of Thalgo’s Slim & Sculpt Expert series, Bust and Décolleté promises to plump up the bust area using extracts of marine algae – slightly confusing seeing as all the other products in this range claim to refine and ‘lipo-reduce’ various other body parts! Evidently Thalgo – a specialist in Marine Cosmetology for more than 40 years – has found all the answers to the perfect figure at the bottom of the ocean. And why not indeed? So if you’re interested in an intensive lifting treatment that will simultaneously reinforce the support tissues of the bust, help reshape the breasts and smooth the décolleté, then read on…
So what exactly does a relatively hefty price tag deliver? A pretty classy-looking product, that’s what. Stereotypical girly packaging is nowhere to be found – indeed Bust and Décolleté might just as well be aftershave – but lack of femininity aside, this is a good-looking product with a branding leaning heavily on the scientific end of the packaging scale. The bottle itself is small, containing 50ml, and if applied morning and evening to the bust and chest area in upward motions, it should last a couple of months. The active ingredients include Laminaria, Rye and Oat to restructure and strengthen and the moisturising marine element, Chondrus Crispus algae.
Online, the cream itself is described as a ‘fine, lightly powdered emulsion’. The texture is undeniably impressive for a bust product, and sinks in easily without leaving an unpleasant, tacky residue, leaving your décolleté feeling instantly refreshed and hydrated. This sensation is notably intensified by the cream’s appealing scent – herbal with citrus notes reminiscent of a top-notch spa treatment. To cut to the chase, this product both looks and feels expensive, which is only right considering its price.
Tested for one month in total, my breasts have no complaints – they are perfectly toned and moisturised, and maybe even a little plumper for the privilege.
Verdict: A classy product that really delivers. Don’t expect miracles, but do expect a noticeably firmer bust with a smoother décolleté.
