Busted! The Fab Foundations™ guide to bras that fit, flatter and feel fantastic review

Billed as America’s #1 Bra Coach, Ali Cudby has a lot to live up to, but in this book she certainly displays her worth. The CEO of Fab Foundations® and creator of the FabFit™ Academy, the world’s first online bra fit training and certification program, her book, Busted!, is jam-packed full of good solid advice.

Based on the principle that bra fitting is based on understanding how a bra fits on the body, rather than by a set size, Cudby empowers women to take control of their own comfort, saving their backs, wardrobes and lives in the process. Talking to you as a big sister, she dismisses so-called bra experts and gives you credit for knowing what is comfortable, while providing practical advice of what good looks like. She actively encourages simply trying on different styles and sizes, instead of relying on the tape measure.

Her practical advice suggests bringing the back band size down until it is comfortable, and then increasing the cup size to fit. She repeatedly insists there is no such thing as a cup size, that it is all relative, and nothing is more powerful than simply trying on bras. In addition, there are personal stories throughout the book, highlighting common queries and answers, making the reader feel more normal. The body-positive perspective, regardless of size or shape, is very refreshing in a world obsessed with “bigger is better”.

Cudby is also savvy to the current economic climate, advocating that you buy fewer, good quality bras and take care of them to extend their lifespan, rather than waste money on cheap knock-offs – there are even whole sections on “Your Best Bra For The Buck”, and “How To Save Your Bra From An Untimely Death”.
